Fr. Richard Reports on Sri Lanka
Of the $29,000 donated
by the Corpus Christi Parish, $19,000 were spent on nets for 150 fishermen,
two new boats and one boat repaired. The balance of $10,000 is
held in an account for the construction of new homes..
An additional $8,000 donated by friends and
employees of the Washington Hospital in Fremont were put in a fixed deposit
to provide a scholarship fund for the children affected by the tsunima in
Sri Lanka.
